In literally moments I am boarding a plane to go to a funeral. That part is a bummer. however my father's family only gathers at weddings and funerals and there have been precious few weddings of late. In fact the last time I saw this particular uncle was at another great uncle's funeral. almost three years ago. this is the opposite extreme of my wife's family. I think I would like it somewhere in between. Oh well.
